SAN FRANCISCO - NEW YEARS 2002

So then we decided to go to San Fran for New Years...That was fun, however it did rain the entire time we were there.  We stayed at the Ramada downtown right by the venue.  It was a nice place.  Madison House travel did all of the arrangements for us.  It's nice that SCI has it's own travel agency!

12/28/01  Bill Graham Civic Auditorium

        1. Search, Got What He Wanted > How Mountain Girls Can Love, County Road, Cedar Laurels > Jellyfish¹ > Jam > Dirk

        2. Next to You, Joyful Sound > Indian Creek³, Barstool, Best Feeling > Radioactive Rap², Shantytown > Jam > Shine

        E. Tom Thumb's Blues

Opener: G. Love and Special Sauce

During the day on Saturday we went to Golden Gate Park and walked around...It's a pretty nice park.  We had a nice old couple take our picture by this little pond.

12/29/01  Bill Graham again...

            1. Close Your Eyes, MLT, These Waves, Ballad of Stagger Lee¹, Sittin' on Top of the World¹, White Freightliner Blues², Rhythm of the Road > Jam > Crosstown Traffic

            E. Black and White³

            Opener:  Taj Mahal

This was a really good show as well...Darol Anger came out on fiddle and played with them and damn he's good.  Taj also played with them and it all was just a great time.

            Opener: Keller Williams

What an awesome show...Rivertrance was playing while they had a parade through the crowd and they had all of these special acts going on on the sides of the stage..Then when midnight hit of course balloons came falling from the ceiling and then they proceeded into a laser show...I was exhausted by the end of the night!

The next day we went to Nappa but it was New Years Day so pretty much all of the wineries were closed...Not too smart of us!!!
