So I realized that if I put up a page for every
show that I had ever been to this would take forever...So this page
is for everyone else I have seen and will see in the future...Unless
there is something really cool, I can only give Cheese full pages!
Sorry...

Have to mention our first
date!!!!! The Word...
|

That was a fun show...Robert
Randolph is awesome...Along with NMA and Medeski!!! That was
the first time I had ever been to Irving also...What an awesome
night!
 |
Robert Randolph and the
Family Band - Maxwell's
|

This show was amazing also...It
was not long after Sept. 11 and we hadn't done much but watch the
news and be depressed. We then realized how much of a performer
RR was...They just had the crowd so pumped. This was one of
the most fun shows I have ever been to. Maxwell's is a really
cool place, very small and you get to hang out with the band after
the show. We talked to him for a few minutes...Got his autograph...He
was a really nice guy...Imagine, he used to play in church!

Robert Randolph
and the Family Band - Bowery Ballroom
|

This was fun...Not as much
fun as Maxwell's though...First time to the Bowery which was fun...I
love going to new places. This was the show where we were
all in the car on the way there and I had said earlier..."I
feel like I am forgetting something"...everyone knows what
that means. I'm not usually in charge of tickets, that's Greg's
job, he is much more reliable when it comes to that (obviously)...So
we are almost to the Bowery on the Highway when I realized the tickets
were nice and safe in my wallet in the Bronx...Oops! I felt
like such an ass! We hadn't been dating for long so I thought
for sure this was going to be it, I was going to see Greggy blow
a fuse...He was so cool about it, he turned the car around and we
went back and got them...And, we were still early for the show!

Widespread Panic
- Asbury Park, NJ
|

This was my first Panic show
ever! It was a good time...The extent of my Panic before this
was listening to cd's at work, so it was very cool to see them live.
I have no plans to see them again but when they come around I'm
sure I will be there...
 |
OysterHead - Roseland
Ballroom
|

I have to say...The first
time I heard this cd I wasn't that excited. It had to grow
on me...Once I gave it a second listen I loved it, so I was excited
for this show. It was really cool to see Trey so close up...We
were right in front, right in front of Trey...I'm sure I will never
get that lucky at a Phish show (if I ever get to go to one) so I
enjoyed it while it lasted...
 |
Dark Star Orchestra -
Hammerstein Ballroom
|

I wasn't nutty about this
show...Sorry to all the fans. For those of you who don't know
who they are, this is their schtick...They replicate a Grateful
Dead show and in the end they tell you which show it was...The problem...They
are almost too good at replicating a show...Here's my theory:
You know how when you tape an episode of your
favorite show on tv, then later on you sit down to watch it...You
always fast forward through the commercials. I felt they could
have fast forwarded over some of the parts. But what do I
know?? I just know at some parts I was getting bored and I
wondered...If Jerry ever broke a guitar string at a show would they
purposefully break a string just to replicate the show? I
would have my finger on the ff button! Other than that, they
do an amazing job of replicating them!
 |
The New Deal - Bowery
Ballroom
|

If you are going to see these guys you need
a lot of energy...They didn't start until about 11:30 or so and
they weren't finished until about 2 or 2:30. The music is
like techno kinda but a little different...It's worth checking out,
they are good if you want to go out dancing all night...The keyboardist
was really nice too...We saw him before the show and said Hi and
he was really cool...I hate it when you say Hi to a band member
and they act like they are too good to stop and say hello...Especially
when they aren't that popular! Not the case with these guys!

North Mississippi Allstars
- Irving Plaza
|

I don't know why, but I had
very low hopes for this show...I don't know if I just wasn't in
the mood that day or what but I wasn't excited at all...So we get
to Irving and hang out for the opener...Can't remember who they
were...Then NMA came out...They were awesome. I love it when
I'm not really excited for a show and I end up having a blast!
These guys are a lot of fun. The drummer is amazing...He was
playing the Keyboard for the opener, drums for most of the show,
then he played the guitar for a while, then he played this thing
that looked like a metal washboard...It was awesome. I love
it when people can play a ton of instruments, I'm always so impressed!
I took piano lessons when I was a kid and I can barely play chopsticks
now!

Trey Anastasio - Champlain
Valley
|

This was my first Trey Show. I had seen
OysterHead, but never Trey's Solo tour. We had a really good
time. Of course my car died the night before and Greg had
a gig...(The Mindwanders)
so he had to rent a car. Greg, Matt and I ended up taking
this little car up to Vermont. We decided that we were going
to camp that weekend. I don't think there could have been
a worse weekend for camping. It was cold, and it rained non-stop.
The show was outside and it was pretty crappy out but we had fun
anyway. The show was awesome. Trey had some kids from
the local school orchestra on stage to do a couple of songs.
They were really good. All in all it was a fun weekend.
 |
Vida Blue - Irving Plaza
|

This was an interesting show...I can't say that
I was really crazy about it. I felt that the drummer was a
little full of himself. I'm happy I saw it but I can't say
I would go see them again...Sorry :(
 |
Beck - Alice Tully Hall
|

I had never been to a show where it was completely
seated and completely quiet...It was interesting. I really
liked Beck, don't get me wrong, I was just surprised everyone sat
there so quietly. It was cool though...He did all acoustic
(I think) and he took some requests. He is a damn funny guy.
I would see him again.

Elastic Mystic - Mercury
Lounge
|

This was one of those shows that I was a little
resistant to go to...We had just come back from somewhere and I
knew we were going to be tired as hell and I was a little grouchy...Blah,
blah, blah. I was really excited to see Kang though.
We hung out for a little bit before hand, met Kang again...I think
he is going to get sick of meeting us :) Anyway, that show
was awesome!!! There were only probably 50 or so people there
and he tore it up. Definitely got me out of grouch mode!
I want to meet him again just so I can ask him if he is going to
play with them again. Will do that again for sure and I highly
recommend it!!!!!

Wilco - RoseLand Ballroom
|

I was a little disappointed in this show...I
have been listening to their cd's for a long time now and I was
psyched to see them. I think it was the Venue and the crowd
that got to me...They were way to mellow to be standing there listening
to them...We needed seats. I am never a complainer about seats
either, unless it is really mellow. It is so hard to stand
still and listen to some acoustic love ballad for 3 hours.
I think they could have rocked out a little more. Also, one
thing that kind of pissed me off about them was the encore thing.
They like to take like 2 30 minutes encores. I think that
to just expect that you will get 2 encores is a little full of yourself,
and then to make them 30 minutes, at least, each. It may have
even been 3 encores, I don't remember, I do remember it taking forever!
I recommend getting their CD, sitting on your couch and listening
to it...You will be more comfortable!

There are a ton of other shows that I have been to, but since I
don't have the ticket stub and my memory is the size of a pea, I
can't remember any of them. If I remember any more I will
be sure to post them here...
