NORTHEAST RUN 2001
Since we live in the New York Area it only made
sense then that we would hit up the North East. Three nights
in places that I had never been sounded good to me!
 |
First was the University
of New Hampshire...
|
1. Outside Inside, Rhum 'n' Zouc > Rollin'
in My Sweet Baby's Arms, Down the Line, MLT, Bend Down Low >
Jam > Whiskey Before Breakfast
2. Smoke on the Water > Shantytown > Jam
> Orange Blossom Special, Black and White, Panama Red, Sand Dollar
> Drumsą, Little Hands > Use Me > Search
E. Walk This Way

What a fun show...At SetBreak the fire alarm
went off so we had to evacuate the building but we all got back
in time to see the second set. Walk This Way was a great Encore...
 |
Then it was on to UMASS...
|
We
drove from UNH to UMASS the next morning and stopped at this little
bridge and took a picture...It was so pretty I thought you should
see!

1. Dirk, Smile, Latinissmo, Resume Man, These
Waves, Got What He Wanted > Restless Wind
2. Rivertrance, Rhythm of the Roadą > Jam
> Turn This Around, County Road, Rollover > Under African
Skies > Rollover
E. So What, White Freightliner Blues

Looking back on it now this was a great show...A
lot of fun, I just barely remember it. Not because of drugs...We
are always sober at shows...Just because my memory is the worst
in the world! I hate that!
 |
Then on to Troy
at the FieldHouse...
|
I
liked the field house...It was a pretty cool place. It was
cold as hell that night. I do remember that!
1. Best Feeling > Jam
> Lonesome Road Blues, Pretty Polly, Lost, Impressionsą> Superstitioną
2. Bamm!, Round the Wheel
> Land's End Jam > Born on the Wrong Planet, Drifting, Sittin'
on Top of the World, Jellyfish > Jam > Round the Wheel
E. Shakin' the Tree
Opener: Medeski, Martin &
Wood

I
have to say first off that I was really excited that MMW was opening
up for them...I was however a little disappointed in them.
It was a little too spacey for me and I had a hard time paying attention.
Don't get me wrong...I think John Medeski is awesome, no question.
I just had a hard time dancing to it which then makes it hard for
me to pay attention. I really liked this show however.
We were very close...Stage Kang of course, and they played Shakin
the Tree for the encore which I LOVE! At the time I really
wanted to hear that and a few others live...My list since then has
grown tremendously!
All in all it was a good run...We had a lot of fun and saw some
really good shows.
