FLORIDA
Oh man was this trip a good time. We did so much while we
here. It was short, only 3 days, but it was fun...We flew
into Orlando, drove to Pompano went to the show and then went back
to Orlando the next day. I also got to see my best friend
while we were there and her husband and baby, and we got to go to
Islands of Adventures...Plus we got to stay in a phat hotel one
night.
One funny story...We come back to the Hotel where we were staying
in Pompano...Motel 6 to be exact, and we see these guys hanging
out on the balcony of the hotel...They yell something to us but
we didn't hear what they said and we walked into our room...5 seconds
later our phone rings...Who could it be? Noone knows where
we are...Greg answers it.
Guy on the phone > "Party"
Greg > "Party?"
Guy on the phone > "Smoke"
Greg > "Is this the
front desk?"
Guy on the phone > "This
is Mike, do you want to smoke?"
Greg > "I think you
have the wrong number"
What the hell was that??? We decided that they sell drugs out of
the hotel by watching people go into their room and then call them
up and see if they want to party. Whatever works I guess...They
were still standing on the balcony in the morning when we left...Shit,
they are probably still standing there!
On to the shows...

DOUBLE ENCORE: Elvis' Wild
Ride

What an awesome show...I
can't believe we got a double encore that was amazing...I have never
seen Travis play the drums on Billy's guitar before...Plus I got
my Mauna Bowa (FINALLY!!!). One more to go...I have to hear
San Jose now! I was so pumped after the show that I decided
I had to get the SetList. I had never gotten one before and
what a perfect one to get...I was psyched to say the least!
So then the next day we woke up really early...One thing I have
to mention is that we stayed at The Hard Rock Hotel. That
place is phat! I highly recommend staying there if you are
ever in the area. It made it very hard to leave! It
is beautiful! Anyway, we woke up early and went on to Islands
of Adventure. That was fun, however, I suggest if you are
going to go don't do what we did. I had a coffee and a Balance
Bar (of course!) and Greg had a OJ and a Balance Bar with a doughnut
chaser. We then proceeded to hop right on the Incredible Hulk.
Did I mention that when you stay at that phat hotel you can use
your room key to cut in front of all the poor saps who are standing
in line. Just another wonderful feature!!!

All of the rides are amazing, especially Spiderman.
We thought that Spiderman would calm our tums down after the Incredible
Hulk...Boy were we wrong!!! It's a 3D movie/Ride that is unbelievable!
After that we were ready to surrender our Breakfast, so we opted
for the water rides...Those rides you really do get wet...VERY WET!!!
Starting to feel better we decided to go on Dueling Dragons...Looking
back I have to wonder what the hell we were thinking...All hell
broke loose (and a few other things) after that ride...Good thing
they line the exit walk way with bushes. I haven't come that
close to hurling since about 1996 and I wasn't going to break my
streak that day. So, as you can see from above we hopped over
to Seuss land and decided that kiddy and water rides were more our
speed that day! We hung around for a little while longer more
out of guilt for thinking we were wimps, and then we proceeded to
eat a huge lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe...Damn it was good...I suggest
the Apple Cobbler for dessert, however, Greg said the Hot fudge
Brownie Sundae was damn good too! So, our trip almost over
at this point we decided to lounge by the pool until we had to leave
to catch our plane. It was so nice, I could have definitly
stayed longer...No Problem!
Well, that's about it for Florida...I told you we got a lot in...For
2 1/2 days we covered some territory...Not to mention that we also
got our tix to Radio City, Lowell, and Colorado while we were there
right when they went on sale! Hope to see you there!!!
