3D Cakes are
the most difficult to make. Getting cake to balance and hold it's position
is a total pain.
I only had a
few chances to make these kinds of cakes...Partially because you don't
get much cake. By the time you carve everything away there isn't much
left. Check out what I have below...If you have made any cool cakes let
me know.

| This was for a 3 year old that loved Barbie. |
This is one of my favorite cakes EVER!!! In the shopping
center where Carolyns is there is a Linen shop called Sallies. Sallies
employees asked me one year for this as her birthday cake. The headboard
and pillows are made out of cookies, which I "monogrammed"
with her initials. |

| I made this when Mark McGwire hit the homerun |
The wrapped present... |

| My brother decided to go backpack around Hawaii for
a while so before he left we had a party and I made a Hoola Girl
and an errupted Volcano. |
This is one of my other favorites...The only part
of Yoda that was not edible were the ears (they were pure fondant
icing, so you could eat them but who would want to?). Luckily, I
had an employee who had a Yoda doll that looked like the cake exactly
so I used that as a model. Yoda is standing on a chocolate layer
cake. Yoda himself was made out of pound cake. |
